This framed butterfly features a real Sasakia charonda specimen from Japan, Korea, China and Northern Vietnam. Commonly known as the Japanese emperor or the great purple emperor, it has a deep iridescent purple color on the wings (hard to see in the pictures). This butterfly is the national butterfly of Japan. Framed with UV blocking glass and archival museum mounting papers — it is built to last a lifetime.
