Description
The Great Orange Tip is the biggest Asian species of the Pierids, which include the “whites’ and “yellows”. In the morning it may be seen flying along paths, at the edges of woods and in clearings. Towards midday it settles down to rest on damp paths. There are two generations in one year. It is common throughout India, Burma, China and the Philippines where they frequent the trails and edges of the forest visiting flowers.
