Description
This framed weevil is a brilliantly hued specimen and one of the larger weevils, or snout beetles. Unlike most weevils, this particular species does little damage to crops. Rather, it prefers to feed on wild yam leaves which are toxic to many animals and give the painted weevil a toxic defense against predators.

• Gallery quality wood shadowbox frame with hanger
