Description
The Sulphur Butterfly has a rich yellow color and is native to South America. The lovely color of the males’ wings is an attraction to females of the species, but that’s not the only trick they have up their sleeves. Recent research has found that the males’ wings also contain an ultraviolet message that is an additional attraction for females. As adults, these fast flying little beauties are attracted to red and purple flowers, and are a visual delight in any garden.
This species also available as butterfly wing jewelry.
