Description
The Windmill Butterfly flies on the islands of Indonesia and is a member of the swallowtail family, which typically have two “tails” near the end of their wings. The larvae of this butterfly feed on vines of the Birthwort family and sequester acids from the plant that are pungent smelling and bitter tasting, making the adults toxic to predators, such as birds and reptiles. Also called a Clubtail Butterfly.
